"Mal's Gold Adventures"

In my serious gold mining days ear trouble was always a problem below 2 metres. I only tried ear plugs once - not a good choice. I think it is best to try to ‘pop’ your ears before you go into the water.

I remember getting immense ear problems just as I got onto a crevice and to make matters worse the water was 8 foot deep and I wasnt using a compressor - in fact the compressor is still virtually brand new (Tried out once) in the shed. I had to fight between ear ache and getting the gold. I got 8 ounce out of that crevice in about an hour. All that was so long ago that three of my gold mining partners from those days are dead at the moment. Interesting to note that the grandfather of one of them got more gold than everyone of us on this forum put together including a 12 ounce nugget.

Yeap Gold Fever and Cabin Fever are not a good mix, keep up the good work on those video’s Mal, we love viewing them.

You & us all Mal. Shit…I may as well go & mow the bloody lawns. Can only sit for so many hours watching you tube gold porn.
Hang in there…we are all in this together. The gold won’t be going anywhere. I just can’t believe how awesome the weather has been during this lockdown. We know what’s going to happen when it is over…

you all stay home and inside now. then you wont hear the landie driving up the road to poach your spots. you get so much more done when you are not looking over your shoulder to see if anyone is there.
yep my lawns are so short ive named all the worms that keep pocking their heads up

Good luck in the bay Mal , we are off to Goldsborough from Nelson. Please don’t take too much yellow as we love a scratch around up the Aorere. :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:

We planning on being at Greymouth for the street racing. Might be staying at Goldsborough yet. Might even stop at slab hut on the way. Fossicking our way around Murchison at the moment. Not doing too well either.
