Does anyone know where I can find yooperlites (sodalite-rich rocks) in New Zealand? I guess there must be some beaches / river bars in the south island that have them.

Alkaline intrusive complexes, such as the Mandamus Igneous Complex (North Canterbury) and the Dunedin Volcano area (Otago), are the likely source of the sodalite-bearing rocks.
