Im looking at buying one as well. Be interested to know if anyone has used one on here yet.
I have watched a lot of you tube footage on there use. I don’t think I need one with what I already have. From what I can gather it handles hot ground way better than the 1000, but we don’t really have that issue. It focuses on more discrimination ability but I find the best decimator is the rare earth magnet in the handle end of my pick. No iron escapes that. I find my 1000 does a very good job on the tiniest bits of gold & really bangs on them. My GPX 6000 with the little Coiltek 10x5 Goldhawk coil is deadly on small gold too.
My last few hours detecting on Sunday.
So think I will save me $3000.00.
Three friends of mine have one & one doesn’t like it & is sticking with his 1000. The other says it is ok, but early days. The third hasn’t had it out in the goldfields yet.
Each to there own.
