Yay! At last I’ve found something old and to think I nearly didn’t dig it. Phew! I’m so glad I did.
Has anyone else come across one of these?
This is a ships water tank lid. (Solid and heavy). These were made from 1860 - 1930s.

Would look good as a backpiece in a display
Not the sort of thing that blows around in the wind - could indicate a site with some extended occupation.
