Hi Team,
Not sure if it has been mentioned on here before but Kae Lewis has a website where they have entered all the wardens court records… claims, dams ect from around 1865-1870. You just enter a surname and it brings up any mining applications they applied for.
Unfortunately you do need a surname or just enter a random one and see what comes up!
Great resource for history buffs or those interested in their local mining spot.
Covers west coast, Otago and Thames.
Cheers scott

This one is a good resource for those interested in Thames Gold mining history, you do require a reasonable PC / Internet Connection to use it tho. https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/e90f2061a975489bbb13ab1f9de23ac0?fbclid=IwAR1nLdacBrekIGTHuBz8Si7lqp4IDxOVD7coNFpvPEhokV9GKBRVop2cLkc
