What was this shovel used for.
It’s copper but has a steel edge to the shovel mouth. Came off an early dredge.
Why would they have gone to so much trouble.
Would it have something to do with using a magnet and black sand being made of copper. Used with a gold mining “blow dish”
Any ideas most welcome.

Thank you so much for your copy of this paper clip and information. I have seen that picture before but they had cropped out the shovel.
I don’t know how many were made the same as that but it’s very very similar if not the same.
It would be amazing if it’s the same to tie it in with that great story.
