Yes but who gets the money - we own the mineral resources and not bloody Aussies or any foreigners.
Does NZ get the billions? The state should be mining it for the benefit of all New Zealanders.

I know where you are coming from Mr Lammerlaw. But hell, if the state got involved it would surely implode & become another state owned disaster. A leopard can’t change its spots.

If it was run properly it would work.
CEOs on a retainer or basic wage with a bloody good bonus at end of year for performance might ensure that it was run safely, efficiently and profitably.
