Update on the above, went back today for another go and got 1.6g for today and yesterday’s efforts. That’ll pay for a few beers

Hi how was the access up the river bed ?

Bit sketchy as you have to walk right along the base of some gravel cliffs with boulders hanging out everywhere. Much safer to go via the bush track up to the bridge

Thanks good to know. From research I have done a track was blazed up the sugar loaf on the true left to the ridge. The track then went up past the lower gorge to “middle beach” . By all accounts rich ground that replenished after floods.
