There’s no fossicking area or any legal spot to detect in Alex. Best to go to the goldfields in Cromwell for a panning session, you won’t want to be in the hills with the snow this low at the moment anyway plus the ground is frozen solid.
At least at the goldfields it’s set up ready to go.
