Hi, I have got the bug. I’ve been out and about and working 12 Mile and Arrowtown with a rocker box. Keen to step up and get into it. Central or Coast, Southland. I would be keen to go in on some good ground and work it hard with a view to buy a claim. A flexible family situation means its time to make Gold while the sun shines, so remote is fine. 12 mile was the big effort. So tired. So Sunday more of a lazy pan and teaching a traveller in the arrow. St Bathans beckons this weekend.
Oh. Havn’t weighed it yet. Hoping for a good weekend and will do after. Enjoy it so much anyway. Dont want to know. But. Yes. I’m interested in seeing if maybe more than a hobby is possible.

Arrow needs a decent flood to hopefully deposit more flood gold. Hasn’t had a good flood for ages so pretty lean pickings. That probably goes for all the public areas.

This was a day in the Arrow a few weeks back, it’s still good in places just low and not much flow where you need it to be

Nice Gav. That’s a decent result for the “public area” of the Arrow. Did you have to dig deep & move a lot of material? Being a local, once you hit a spot that produces you can have a fun time that is for sure. Finding the fun spot is the challenge. Not so easy for visitors. What sort of weight you got there.

Yeah it was a good hole, found the biggest piece just in the first few shovels so carried on down, got to about the top of waders and when the boots started filling up it was a bit cold. Might of shifted a cubic meter or more, haven’t weighed it but it looks around 2g or so maybe slightly more
