Hi everyone, we’ve just moved to Blenheim and I was wondering if you had any recommendations for fossicking spots in the area. This is a very new hobby for me, so I really don’t know the rules.

Stay clear of the wakamarina as its all pretty much under claim,unless invited otherwise.other areas here have history of color but generally its pretty poor diggins.

Gold has been found in the upper reaches of the wairau river, im wondering if their would be gold further down the river going towards the ocean around spring creek area.
