WOW…you did good Dave. What were you swinging? But you should give the shooting range a miss. I think you were after this kind of stuff.

I thought the trowel might have been one of urs, only a guess cos it would be well outside ur usual haunts
It does look familiar 
Last metal trowel I lost was up the rich Burn & that was quite a few years ago. Metal trowels & detecting don’t go too good together. I use a plastic scoop to wave over the detector coil when the signal is out of the ground & hopefully in the scoop.
You didn’t say what detector you were swinging.
