Hello .I have been looking at the nzpam map and can’t seem to understand the legend I guess as I can’t see any gold fossicking areas in north Otago .is there any areas I can pan around north Otago/Oamaru or do I need a permit/claim to pan recreationally. ?

The most northern Otago ones are around Queenstown and Arrowtown.
