So after all these years I realized that the Coiltek 10x5 mono is waterproof, so after seeing Gavin’s inspiring post I decided to head down to south Otago this morning to where in the past I have used the platypus coil. After a initial scout around I spotted a likely looking area to try the Joey coil in the water. Really glad I did. Yep Gavin you were right about the water, only had my bare arms in up to the shoulder & after a couple hours of splashing around I was shaking violently.
