Hi, new to the Community and new to detecting, just 2 weeks in. I’ve got an equinox 900 and watched various YouTube channels on how to find coins and have had some success finding them as well as a steep learning curve on digging up trash.
I’ve mostly found current currency, old British, New Zealand and Australian pennies and yesterday found an 1885 British shilling. All are very dirty and I’ve seen various ways online to clean them but hesitant as I don’t won’t to damage them.
Any advice on making them presentable, not like new just how to clean them.
