Why not find an unclaimed river and claim your own? Theres still some nice spots available over there…

Hi, I’m new to the forum but have done some panning and dredging. I am moving into the Lawrence area and am interested in making or buying a claim somewhere in that area. How does one research what acive claims there are on rivers for any given area? I suppose there must be a laymans guide I can read on the process of making a claim and the do’s and don’ts?
