Ive talked to the gravel extractors down there. They’ve removed all the gravels to a fair depth in recent years, large volumes in recent times. They used to occasionally hit a hard patch that hadn’t been dug and would put it in a corner of the yard. Will your venture be trying to dig deeper still for gold. I was always interested in just how far down the bedrock was on the delta but no one seemed to have the answer. I know the shotover water bores will be a good depth on the east bank. Currently the sewage is discharged to the river delta, so I assume there must still be a good layer of hard pack to keep that from leaching deeper into the aquafier the supply of water is drawn from.
