hey everyone

I’ve been into gold panning for a while now, and I’m honestly stuck between two highbanker setups. read a ton of reviews online and scrolled through so many forums & blogs trying to figure out what’s really worth the money. I checked reviews on sites like Outdoor Life, Popular Mechanics, The New York Times Wirecutter, and a few prospecting blogs like Gold Rush Trading Post and Mining Journal. most people seem to recommend these two options again and again:

Both got pretty solid feedback. the first one looks great for micro gold recovery with the dream mat setup, while the second seems more flexible with the folding design. I’m just not sure which one’s better in real use, especially for someone who’s working mostly in small creeks but sometimes wants to step up with a hydraulic monitor setup. if anyone here has used either of these, or even something similar, I’d really appreciate your thoughts. both have tons of reviews, and the features look amazing, but I need your help to decide which one’s the smarter buy. First one looks a bit small, only 6” (150mm) wide. I like the second one with all the other stuff you get with it. Depending on the quality & if you don’t have the other gear already. You can easily set up a bilge pump or a small petrol powered pump for a water flow with the high banker set up rather than manually feeding water down. Will be issues I am guessing with motorised gear in a public fossicking area.
