Dad told me about it - Grey Star. I did “read for myself”… I cannot see DOC or NZPAM doing more than “fear-mongering” via the mainstream media, here in Westland. Correct if I’m wrong.
Have heard through the grapevine that doc has been placing cameras in areas that have had a lot of poaching activity and are gathering evidence as NZPAM are wanting to start prosecuting repeat offenders as part of a targeted rollout this year .
If so, it’s a good thing alright. Getting their hands dirty & justifying salaries is a step-forward, esp for the permit holders who pay a lot of dollars up front/yearly to obtain & hold onto these permits.
Yep it’s getting pretty crazy out there, seeing more and more activity off the reservation when out hunting here in Westland. None of my business, be interested to see if they actually prosecute someone.
Goldsbrough has been let go by some who have destroyed the banks. Everytime I’ve been back its has gotten worse. And as for the seagulls who jump on claims or rivers that aren’t public fossicking areas, shame on u.
