I havnt moved from NI yet, but just curious what I should expect on my hikes in to find, mostly Tasman and West Coast areas.
I plan to pan, river sluice, metal detect, under water snipe and metal detect.
Are there spots where the rivers/creeks slow up to form nice swimming type holes for me to snipe with clear viz?
Just want to get an idea of if my methods of fossicking are worth it or Im likely to get skunked? (not looking for peoples honey holes etc)
