Oi people i can get one of these chinese things relatively cheap and was going to put a honda 200 on it prob to a dw180 just cause of avalibility or maybe to a keene pump would prefered a proline 400 pump but out of stock , just wondering if the chinese hoses and jet would be any good floats and frame and box gotta be alright but im only guesding lol any advice be great what ya sll recon ?? Just not up to speed with Chinese Alibaba dredging kits. I would be weary but if price is right & some mods needed then it might be ok. A link would be good to check it out.

As John said, “be weary”… by the time you pay GST at Customs, shipping, & overpriced 4” dredge, might be better (quality & decent price) to ask Lachlan Westrupp if he’ll build you a 4”? Turns out its cheaper to buy one on alibaba the dude has one on facebook he wanted $8500 for it with a titan motor and hopeless pump on it looks just like a proline but outer skin only they called a siphon dredge, he said hed drop to nearer wati it cost him when i said see em for $5300 on alibaba nz site no tax to pay, he shut right up. He must been trying to make a few quid on em, now im wondering if i dont just buy a 5inc from them and 2 replace motors and 2 pumps straight off bat and have a wikid overkill machine for $9 500, vs $15 k here and i think thats with bigger motor and 1 bigger pump, they want even more here for 2 honda 200 and 2 400 pumps on the 5 inch but at least you cart that upriver by ya self, few trips but, Decisions decisions. Is that states dredge chap still around , didnt he have a snotter machine, doubt he take it back to states.
Don’t get me wrong, the Honda GX200 engines they come with are great quality. It’s the floats & framing I was always weary of. Matting in the sluice box is good. If you can bypass GST at Customs & save a buck, be silly not too
That’s there 4 inch one the mongrel wanted $8500 for it here but if ya check out photo on fb marketplace of the one like this one of the photos shows the motor better, and in the wording it’s called a siphon dredge, instead of suction, so at a guess it moves phuk all especially deeper down, so I don’t really know if that’s spending to much to get the kit when up throwing the brand new motor off straightaway, but $2100 nz to put good motor Honda 200 and proline hp400 on it, seemed like a reasonable option to end up with a nicish unit? Now I’m thinking i get there 5 or 6 inch model and put 2 motors and 2 pumps on it so $$4200 odd nz and end up with a overkill snotter that goes deep az ? What ya think ??
Have you asked alibaba what the freight cost is landed? I bet the guy selling for $8500 is only just covering freight and gst. Don’t forget that the total Price including shipping is taxed on entry and there’s no getting around it really
