I’m an avid Rockhound and spend lots of time fossicking for fossils and gemstones and always wanted to try my hand at detecting, guess its the treasure hunter/collector in me , also my brother hunts gold reasonably successfully so it was a no brainer that I’d catch the bug especially after finding a few old coins in my parents backyard after “having a go” with my brother’s detector. So I’ve bought an “entry level” detector whilst saving for the real deal, but I’m out there having fun now so happy days!
