It's official we need 2000 signatures! (Currently 345)

blah blah blah, its not so much as being too hard but being a complete waste of time.

youd literally be better off to crowdfund, setup a claim and then gift it to the nz public via the ministry/doc or whoever the hell deals with that stuff. its only a few grand, if your 2000 signatures all paid $2 youd have a tier 3 permit.

youre literally just another group of bludgers wanting something for nothing, be a bit more proactive then that and maybe you guys will have more luck.

theres others ways to go about it then just wasting everyones time. whens the last time a petition actually done anything let alone one with only 2k signatures? and have you checked out how many petitions are currently active? theres so many theyre just meaningless now

lol.. classic… so gogold the difference with this petition is that the proces for change is already in place .. claims and areas of recommendation for a PFA are already in place ..no need to buy a claim .. the hard part is the actual establishment of an area into a PFA ..its a unique type of reserve .. the Gabriel’s gully PFA took NZPAM’s nearly two year to establish because of red tape. Requires lots of time and resources .. also I want good karma from the gold gods!,lol!

Wow. You seem a little bit upset considering that people just want a few more fossicking areas.

Godoityourself then. Jeez, what a killjoy. Mal is actually being proactive and thats the difference between blowing hot air and actually doing something. We can all come up with ideas, but unless you are actually following up on them then keep it to yourself mate. Cricky dick.

Couldn’t agree more Sach. Come on gogold, pull your head in mate. You miss out on a bit this morning or get out of bed on the wrong side? If nothing is done then nothing has a hope of changing. If no one speaks up then what hope is there of anything changing. Squeaky wheel gets the oil, or at least it is put out there to make awareness & in mass it may make a difference. Don’t know until it is thrown out there. Don’t suppose you will be voting then either.

Good no you Mal. Don’t let one bad apple rock you mate. But I know it is water off a ducks back.

Gogold is entitled to his opinion just like you are. No need to be a dick about it. We don’t have to agree all the time.

dude im just being realistic and pointing out the very obvious. this is the problem with lil echo chambers, they get upset at a few truths they dont want to hear.

i even gave some solid alternatives that will have a higher likelyhood of sucess esp a decent election donation.(yeah, thats how politics works even in lil old nz)

2000 signatures from 5.3million isnt a squeaky wheel that will get oiled.

back in what, 2010ish? i was quite active on here and there were the same noises being made back then so 16years of nothing, no progress.

there were also many attempts at crowdfunding a claim, back then it was bit more expensive but always hot air and most cheered it on until they realised they would have to help fund it. think those that were serious went their own way or into other syndicates.

good on mal for trying and actually taking the first steps i guess but petitions are literally the laziest and least effective way to achieve anything.

id be suprised if theres ever another fossicking area created let alone one before say 2030. even the current ones are barely used, seems a couple get hammered and the rest neglected due to piss all there and its not like any new area is gunna be laden with gold so why not be happy with what there is already?

probably a case for one in the north island more so then the south.

anyways time will tell wont it. would you like to bet on who gets it right?

You wouldn’t have got much support calling it bludging. My perspective naive as it is. Why can’t we just check out a stream because it interests us. Beauracratic bullshit has taken over the no8 wire mentality we were born into. Ffs the country was funded by the gold prospecting community

true that mate.

unless some muppet gouges the bank out panning and even hand sluicing are extremely low impact.

i guess its more so that a bunch of claim owners dont get all hissy at a few folk taking .2 of a gram of their gold

it is rather absurd when you think about it ay, its illegal to put a shovel of river gravel in a dish and shake it.

Classic lol I reckon you might move some mountains if you swap teams and give Mal a hand with the amount of effort you put into that post. I bet you’ve moved a few rocks in the creek to and as most of us here have. Mals actually got a little clout and this could get picked up. The tide is hopefully changing as far as politicians we have in office. You just never know. Anyway I reckon you missed my point. But Il bet you Mal gets more attention on it than a decade or so back.. yes I was on paydirt back then as well :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes::+1:
