Bloody idiots, if they already cheating ie digging the bank why do it there, versus 1 km up river, they must be honest baddies lol.

If it’s required for you’re set up what’s the difference between a lockup and a porta loo if it’s temporary.
It’s not a permanent structure should be a permit for a temporary lockup on public land at least.

Yeah Im going to ask DOC about it as Gavin suggested. I was thinking it would be something Id have to do through nzpams. But agree it should be ok if its a small unit and temporary :+1:

Busy beavers on the true left branch of Shamrock creek. About 8 holes all up, all well out of active stream bed. Caused tree to collapse into creek bed. Holes bigger than photos appear.

I’m guessing DoC would say no as I’d imagine the expectation of a fossicking area is for a bit of fun rather than someone being located there in a more permanent manner requiring a lock up. And if they say yes, I’d imagine there would be a fee attached. But you never know until you ask.

Yes agree. Its on a claim, but still Im imagining the same result from DOC :joy:. But will ask the question anyway as always interesting to learn a bit more about whats allowable and what isnt:+1:

Why in gods name would you want to erect a tool shed? Maybe you should also ask them if it can be painted pink? Or does it need to be camouflaged? Can you use prefab for its construction? . This endless questions about what is and what isn’t allowed could be like the never-ending story. You asked if there is a government information platform - Your words not mine. Sorry but this is now coming across as a bit entitled dont you think?

Mate the thing that makes people do stupid things like the article says is not because there’s no information on it. Its because people are are self entitled pricks who lack any responsibility and haven’t been taken to task. Yet no one wants to actually say that because of the risk of offending the twits.

Dredging gear. I do fly in fly out. Very remote. Theres been a lot of theft happening on claims. Equipment is expensive also leaving equipment exposed to elements. Cant see a problem with a small setup, packed up and taken out when finished with…
Il be honest. A response like yours isnt very helpful. But thanks for the contribution.
