7h… Maybe a few more colors today, but not quite as much as I was hoping for… 
Does anyone know if there’s gold in any of the small creeks you cross on the way to Glenorchy? Know there’s a claim on the 25 Mile and some other creeks, so will stay away from them, don’t worry

Just a few minutes outside Queenstown on the way to Glenorchy. There is a bridge, but can’t remember its name 
Did a few test pans today, but wasn’t in mood for sluicing, so decided to go for a swing with the Monster instead. I’m glad I did

Did you have any luck today?
Was curious to see what the creek was like further upstream, so went on a mission with my detector. No gold was found and I was rather frustrated since the bedrock was so noisy for some reson? Anyway, I gave up when I came across a bloody waterfall I’d never have been able to pass 
So, there I was, on the way back when I noticed a hill with some bedrock exposed. Suddenly I felt this strong need to explore it and man, I’m so glad I did!
Today I found the nugget I’ve been chasing in my dreams for so long! I’m over the moon. I guess sometimes it pays of to listen to your gut…

Thanks! Don’t have access to a scale atm, but will keep you guys updated. Think 7g is a bit too optimistic, my guess would be somewhere around 3g. We’ll see…

Went back up the 5 Mile today. Only got one bar of battery left I’ve realized a more suitable name for the creek would be “Five Thousand F*cking Fallen Trees Creek”. Man, the further upstream you go, the worse it gets. Has anyone had any luck up there?
Did find an arrow on the way back. Must be a sign! Tomorrow I’m going to give Arrowtown another go. This time I’ll strike rich
