I saw those walls on google earth a number of years back and wondered also if they were part of the alleged pre maori waipoua forest “stone city”. we will probably never know the truth about it if it is a city etc as any information gathered by researchers was promptly embargoed lol. Personally it would not surprise me if there has been multiple civilisations to some degree in this country seeing as pretty much every other land mass on earth has been occupied by ancient civilisations at some stage… if you look into Maori oral traditions theres mentions of the land being inhabited throughout the entire country on their arrival from Hawaiki.
