Hi Gavin, Thanks mate. Due to our ground being so mild I can run the GM 1000 Flat out on the manual 10 sensitivity setting & always in deep all metal mode. Mind you, I can do the same with the Gold Bug 2. Guys overseas in highly mineralized ground haven't a hope of doing that. Having to back the sensitivity off. So like any VLF it does struggle in highly mineralized ground. But the Gold Monster has an Auto & Auto Plus sensitivity settings which is quite unique in a VLF detector & it will find its own acceptable sensitivity level accordingly. Also has full time auto ground balancing. That too is a pretty cool feature. For just over 1k NZ dollars it is pretty good bang for the buck for the features it has.
