Whoop whoop - famous! Good article.

So how does the GM 1000 perform in mineralised areas? Does it still struggle the same as most VLF’s, or perform slightly better?

Hi Gavin, Thanks mate. Due to our ground being so mild I can run the GM 1000 Flat out on the manual 10 sensitivity setting & always in deep all metal mode. Mind you, I can do the same with the Gold Bug 2. Guys overseas in highly mineralized ground haven’t a hope of doing that. Having to back the sensitivity off. So like any VLF it does struggle in highly mineralized ground. But the Gold Monster has an Auto & Auto Plus sensitivity settings which is quite unique in a VLF detector & it will find its own acceptable sensitivity level accordingly. Also has full time auto ground balancing. That too is a pretty cool feature. For just over 1k NZ dollars it is pretty good bang for the buck for the features it has.
Here is some GPZ gold from the last three weekends.
