Hi everuyone, been ages since ive posted and no im not one of those readers then poach type guys [january first trip out for 18 months]
Anyway on our annual camping trip to golden bay and this year thought we would have an explore up the aorere. Had my nephews with me pretty keen for some colour so had a few pans in the lower aorere but not much - Finney creek looked promising tho.
Finished up at the Takaka market and the gold hunting guys were there doing free panning [$10 to keep any gold] so my nephew promptly panned out about $50 worth in one shovel cheers Steve, will come for a hunt with you next january.
Anyway my older nephew has the bug now and planning a weekend to slab hut creek.
