On the road from Waihi to Whangamata there is Parakiwai Quarry Rd. At the end of this road is a D.O.C. walk way to the Royal Standard Battery site, 1.30 minutes. A mining company has a permit to do drilling there. Below that is the Adam and Thomson Streams. I know someone who has got some good gold there.

we did pamnning just outside of whagamata in the valley wher a stamper battery was I think the same place we found color in the first pan out of the creek will check see where we went on topo map
